TEEN STABBED TO DEATH IN COLOMBIA HEIGHTS

YESTERDAY, A 14- YEAR OLD WAS FATALLY STABBED IN THE COLUMBIA HEIGHTS AREA IN NW.

THE RECENT KILLING OF WHO POLICE HAVE IDENTIFIED AS GIOVANNI SANCHEZ, IS THE THIRD KILLING IN THREE DAYS WITHIN A ONE MILE RADIUS. AUTHORITIES BELIEVE THE TEEN WAS KILLED DURING A FIGHT INVOLVING HALF A DOZEN OTHER YOUTHS OR MORE.

THE TEEN WAS FOUND ABOUT 4:30 PM YESTERDAY IN A ROADWAY NEAR 14TH AND NEWTON STREETS NW. THE KILLING WAS THE THIRD SINCE WEDNESDAY NIGHT WHEN DERRELL GOINS, 21, WAS SHOT IN THE ADAMS MORGAN AREA.
