Last night, Montgomery County teen, Ryan Didone, 15, died of his injuries after the car he and four friends were in, veered from the road, struck a tree and caught fire.

The five students were on their way to a local Burger King after leaving a meeting with a Christian youth group, a friend said. Didone was transported to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, which is where he later died. Brittany Jones, 16, another passenger was also taken to the trauma center.

The driver, Zachary Kimble, 17, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, along with the other passengers, Christopher Nicholson, 17, and Kristin Newport, 15.

All five are students at Damascus High School and lived in the Damascus area. The school has posted on its Web site that guidance counselors and a crisis team would be in place to help students deal with the loss of Didone.
According to police, the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Abduction Suspect's Outburst Causes Removal From Court

The female abduction suspect in the case of the 5-year-old boy taken from a Virginia supermarket Sunday, was removed from court earlier this afternoon due to continuous outbursts.

The suspect being charged, Falah O. Joe, 28, continued to declare that she "didn't kidnap the boy and that he was standing outside alone in the cold." Joe began to outburst after the prosecutor in the case began telling the judge about the alleged kidnapping of Kamron Wells, who disappeared while on a trip with his grandfather and sister.

Joe was arrested in the District yesterday, more than 13 hours after the alleged abduction took place at the Shoppers Food Warehouse in Fairfax County. According to reports, the kidnapping took place around 11 a.m. Sunday, when Kamron wandered away from his grandfather and sister.

Joe was caught early Monday morning with the boy in a rowhouse in the 5100 block of Ninth St. NW.
