LAST NIGHT, A MAN WAS SHOT OUTSIDE OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY'S WESTFIELD WHEATON MALL IN WHAT APPEARED TO BE A GANG DISPUTE.
AFTER THE SHOOTING THE SUSPECTS FLED THROUGH THE MALL'S CROWDED MACY'S DEPARTMENT STORE. AT ABOUT 5 P.M. A GUN POLICE BELIEVE TO BE CONNECTED IN THE EARLIER SHOOTING WAS DISCHARGED IN A MACY'S DRESSING ROOM.
LATER TWO GUNS WERE ALSO FOUND IN A DRESSING ROOM, ACCORDING TO POLICE. AROUND 7 P.M. OFFICERS ARRESTED A 19-YEAR-OLD MAN BELIEVED TO BE CONNECTED WITH THE SHOOTING.
POLICE ALSO REPORT THAT TWO OF THE THREE GUNS FOUND HAD BEEN STOLEN FROM ANOTHER MARYLAND JURISDICTION.
NO SHOPPERS OR POLICE WERE INJURED IN THE INCIDENT.
